The Customs (Preventive) Commissionerate, Jamnagar
came into existence w.e.f. 01-11-2002 vide Notification No. 15/2002
–Cus.(NT) dated 7-3-2002 as amended issued by the Govt. of
India . The jurisdiction of the Commissionerate is (a) whole of the
area in the districts of Surendranagar (except Dasada Taluka), Rajkot,
Porbandar, Jamnagar, Morbi, Amreli, Bhavnagar and Junagadh in the State
of Gujarat (excluding the area)s falling under the jurisdiction of the
Commissioner of Customs, Kandla).(b) Diu of the Union territory of
Daman and Diu.
The
Commissionerate consists of 03 Divisions and 01 Custom House (staff on
cost recovery basis). An Assistant Commissioner is heading each of the
formations.
